End of 2023 update
Quite a lot has happened since I decided to start the study in October. The basic structure of the site is in place with menu options for The Study to give a brief description of what I intend to do. A Places option to show the area covered, this has menu options below it for the village and the various hamlets, along with one for shops. The options within this menu will grow, for instance if I research a farm then a farms option will be added. The sub menu options will mostly be for categories and when selected will show any posts that have the relevant category. Currently selecting shops will show you a single post about The Village Shop which is also Plot 46 on the Tithe Map. The next menu option is The Records which has options below it for the different records used where I have added data. Currently this is for census and tithe records and the before mention post for The Village Shop will come up under tithe map option as part of the Tithe Plot category. For Census there are currently categories for statistics and records. The final menu is About which contains pages about me, bibliography (main sources used) and a contact me page.
In addition the full 1841 Census has been transcribed. Binley & Bourne Tythings have been posted the rest will follow in January 2024. I have started looking at the Tithe Map and where possible I will be adding adding Plot numbers to the census entries. Some plots will be looked at in detail as per plot 46 looked at this month.
When it comes to the people a Rootsmagic database has been created using the 1841 census, parish baptisms, marriages and Burials (working backwards) are being added in order to establish who was in the parish in 1830.
